Invector Inc. develops innovative products for the financial sector to evaluate disparate assets, using mathematical techniques that are tried and tested in a host of other fields. This fills an evident need of the credit industry, both businesswise and in view of regulatory diligence.

The first product, named Invector Pricepoint, is geared towards the credit markets for used cars and housing. Invector Pricepoint is operational and ready to be delivered to several clients that have shown interest in conditionally remunerated pilot projects. Invector's approach is quantitative in nature. The strategy is to acquire a partial sample of raw trading data for each asset in each local market over a reasonable period of time, and to process the data using algorithms and filters that give an accurate estimate for assets of similar nature, accounting for the effects of variables such as asset subtype, size, age, location, etc.

Invector's approach has been piloted in the used car market with impressive results, and a similar approach can be applied in other markets of nonhomogenous assets, such as the housing market. Sigurður Ingólfsson founded Gangverð in 2011 and serves as the company´s CEO.

NSA invested in Invector in 2011.
